Institute 711 Secures a Major Order for Exhaust Gas Desulfurization Units of Four VLOC Vessels from Shandong Shipping

Recently, the 711 Research Institute officially signed an order for exhaust gas desulfurization systems for four 250,000-ton ore carriers with Shandong Shipping Corporation. This marks another in-depth cooperation between the two parties following the exhaust gas desulfurization projects for 82,000-ton and 180,000-ton bulk carriers.

As one of China's large state-owned enterprises that first engaged in the field of marine exhaust gas desulfurization, the 711 Research Institute boasts a full range of products including open-loop, closed-loop and hybrid systems, and has obtained certifications from leading international classification societies such as Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyd's Register (LR) and Bureau Veritas (BV). Up to now, it has secured more than 100 sets of on-board orders from numerous world-renowned shipping enterprises including Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), China Merchants Group and Shandong Shipping Corporation.
