Recently, a 6S50ME-C9.5 main engine manufactured by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered to a shipping company in Nanjing. The engine has a power output of 14,525 horsepower and adopts the latest ME-C electronic control technology developed by MAN Energy Solutions. Featuring low fuel consumption and high efficiency, it complies with Tier II emission standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

It is reported that this engine adopts the latest ME-C electronically controlled technology developed by MAN Energy Solutions, incorporates the state-of-the-art MARK II cylinder lubricator, and is equipped with cutting-edge designs including the LDCL system, RDL cylinder liners, EGB valve regulation, bearing wear monitoring, and a more compact self-cleaning filter. Featuring low fuel consumption and high efficiency, it complies with the IMO Tier II emission standards set by the International Maritime Organization. Driven by a hydraulic pump, the engine boasts an extra-long stroke design, which enables reduced engine rotational speed, facilitates the propulsion of larger propellers, further cuts fuel consumption and elevates the overall efficiency of the main engine.

After China Shipbuilding Diesel Engine resumed work on February 10, staff from departments including General Assembly, Production, Technology and Quality set up the "Main Engine Commissioning Assault Team" and "Youth Assault Team" to fully push forward production breakthroughs at key milestones, so as to make ample preparations for the smooth acceptance and delivery of the 6S50ME-C9.5 main engine. The Production and Operation Department shifted its weekly production scheduling meetings from offline to online. While minimizing personnel gatherings and implementing rigorous epidemic prevention and control measures, the department thoroughly discussed the feasibility of each scheduled production milestone and the difficulties encountered in main engine acceptance and delivery. In addition, regular briefings on work resumption were added to report the return-to-work status of frontline production staff, weekly project completion progress, and epidemic prevention and control implementation throughout project execution, so as to guarantee epidemic prevention and control under control across all production procedures at all times.
